Posted: Wed Jun 21, 2006 4:22 pm Post subject: Backing up toca race driver 3 (v8 supercars) dirty disc erro
Hi, I've used the methods advised by an earlier post, I've managed to use Isoripper to split the game into 2 parts, the advice says you need to FTP the first part of the 2 iso's to a PC and burn it to a dvd. This all worked fine, I put the copied game into my xbox it loads ok and starts to work fine, i can navigate through menu's etc but as soon as i try to play the game it freezes and gives the dirty disc error.
The facts:
Xbox 1.6
200GB HD (around 50GB free)
Xecutor 2.6ce chip
1 original copy of Toca race driver 3 (works fine mint condition)
1 back up copy of Toca ... (packard bell dvd+rw), (freezes when trying to enter game modes, dirty disc error)
Followed these steps:
1.download image drive 1.0.1 (virtual drive)
2.transfer the file called ISO Ripper.xbe to the xbox
3.now put your original copy of Race driver 3 in the xbox
4.you must have over 6.7Gb's on the hdd
5.now locate ISO ripper.xbe and pic it now wait the screen hangs but it hasnt just wait
6.after about 1hr it should go back to the dash now you should find a folder
7.called v8 supercars 3 or race driver 3 in it you will have 4 files
1. default.xbe
2. errorsectors.bin
3. v8 supercars 3 or race driver 3 part 1 and part 2 delete part 2
you dont need this and delete the errorsector.bin aswell and pick the default.xbe and the game will load if you want a backup then transfer the iso to the pc and burn
