I just bought spider chip v1.1. My xbox version is 1.5 with thomson dvd drive. I flashed my 256k bios with the evox m8 256k. When I turn on my xbox with mod chip enabled i can see the evox logo then the ms dashboard appears. GREAT........now i need to load a dashboard. Right? So then I make an evox boot disk and followed many tutorials on how to get it to work. When ever i try to load the disk it goes to the ms dashboard and says "disk may be dirty or damaged". I tried this alot of times. still not luck. I burnt it on a 4X cd-rw and then made sure it was in xiso format. Still nothing. Loading this disk sucks. Can anyone help.

Yes, could be an incompatible brand of disk. XBOX drives are finicky. You may also consider ftp'ing your dashboard over to your c: drive. Most chips these days will let you do that even without a dash installed. Try powering up with your eject button to gain ftp access to your xbox.
