To anyone who will listen (and hopefully help) I have been to almost every forum and board known to man and I still cannot figure how to create the bios.bin file. I have a Xenium solderless chip installed. From the OzXodus site i have dwnld the iso file and tried to burn it with 2 mp3 files to get my xbox to read it. Is it me or is there something wrong w/ this picture? Can anyone offer suggestions as to if i should use a different bios to flash my chip? Or if the file i got is just bad? Any help appreciated. Oh and by the way Great site...

TIA

Skip the forums for now, double check your steps with some tutorials that are on this site.

Also, try a larger dummy file. Like around 50mb or higher. You may want to try different media as well. Certain drives read various disks better than others.

You are probably not doing anything wrong. Sometimes it's a trial and error thing. Good luck and keep trying, you will get it.

Somewhere on this forum asmunch posted something to let everyone know what media works best with what drive. Maybe he can reply and helpy you out.

As far as the red light, I am no quite sure, but on xenium website there are plenty of manuals to download. I suggest doing so. It will give you A TON of information.

I have noticed that I can't do jack shit unless I have a MS controller plugged into the console, so I think you are right on with that assessment. I about shit my pants when I couldn't get further than the entry screen. Nothing was working...then I realized I had a MadCatz controllre in the player one controller port. As soon as I swithced..BANG..was fine.

I'll also look around for that media post that asmunch made. Let me know if you find it first though.

later man

I have found some info where someone stated that they are having success with Immation (Imation?) CDRW's...

I do believe I also heard that memorex CDRW's have worked in the Thompson Drives. I don't think the 1.0 version matters. I believe it's the drive only that is the pickey bugger.
