Well, I recently was helping my friend install a new HardDrive. In the process i changed my eeprom to match his. The new Harddrive worked great for him but now all of my Harddrives wont work because their eeproms arent the same as his. So, can a Sunday Chip help me solve my problem here?
I have a 160 gb harddrive that has all of my stuff on it and i really dont want to lose it. It was m7 i believe, i installed the softmod with mkjones package... It was a long time ago...
Oh also, My other Xbox, I used config magic and changed the eeprom to match my other xbox, now when i boot it i get an error screen but no number. Can Sunday Chip help with that too?
Thanks

There's 3 families of serial eeproms,
1.0-1.1
1.2 - 1.5
and 1.6
The serial eeprom holds your hard drive key and online key and parental controls and time zones settings etc. Don't confuse any of this with your flashrom that holds your Xbox's firmware or bios.
Flashbios 3 boots a Linux kernel that doesn't need a valid serial eeprom. Also flashbios 3 has a generic eeprom for each eeprom family hard coded into the bios. You'll know if you have a bad serial eeprom if you try to boot with a valid bios and get flashing red with no green. This will happen if you try loading a hacked MS bios or the factory MS bios.
The recovery scenario would be you have a flashing red xbox that loads no bios. You boot Sunday and flashbios 3 flashes your eeprom with a valid one for your serial eeprom family. Then you would use flashbios 3 to flash a hacked bios on the flashrom. At this point there is a generic serial eeprom good enough to load a hack bios and run confid magic and re-flash the serial eeprom you backed up that has your hard drive key and all that in it and you are back to where you want to be.
If there is no eeprom back up and the drive was locked with config magic then the master password is set to TEAMASSEMBLY and there are a couple methods you can try with the master password.
Most likely if you boot to an error screen then Sunday and a hacked bios will fix you up, get evox running then rebuild C. When you remove a hard drive it's always a good idea to unlock it, with a chip anyway, not a softmod. I think Sunday will boot fine on htese boxes just don't know about the 160gb.

If it's unlocked then no problem it will boot on any modded box and the way Sunday comes with it's flashbios you don't even need a drive in to flash it via http to a hack bios so I would bet you are in good shape.
