Hi,just got another xbox from ebay,was told it works 80% of the time,what happens is it works the first time you power up,gets to dashboard etc.Then if i turn it off after 5-10 mins,then power on again the green light comes on,but just a black screen-nothing.Have to leave it for a while before i can get it to work again,trying to softmod it,but keep having to wait for ages between stages! What on earth is the matter with it? Can't work this one out!

Is the fan working? Perhaps it's getting too hot. It may be that the video is failing but since the box is just slow booting, it might even be the bios. Lastly the hard drive might be giving way too. Shot in the dark.
