i found a torrent for a xbox hardware clean up disk and i want to restore my HDD back to its out of box state. Could somebody download it and try it taking pictures while doing it to confirm it works and not destroy your xbox. When i mean somebody i mean someone who dont mind trying and can fix their xbox if the worst should happen. Click here for the torrent

Are you running a XBOX Modchip or just a softmod??
What softmod installer did you use?? SID3?? SID2 or other?
What modchip have you got..
If you have a modchip fitted you can format the entire xbox hdd and only install the M$ Dashboard.. Then you couuld lock the hdd and remoe the modchip and your machine would be back to retail again.
there are many ways to do it but it depends on your setup.

Did the download come with any information? A NFO or TXT file?
That should tell you what its going to do! Could be the recovery disc with the XDK which remotely via FTP I think puts the Xbox back to factory default.
