Ok, so I have EVO X dashbaord and noticed all of the skins were in F:\Skins. So I downloaded some skins (each in its own folder) and put them in F:\Skins, and I cant find them when I go to the skins menu.
Then I was told to put them in the C:\Skins folder. First off, I tried it and it still didn't work. Second, why would they go there if 99% of all the rest are on the F:\?
Note: I am networked to my XBOX so transfering the files is not a problem.

Okay, more info.
Did you use AID to install dashboards as applications? If so, then you have your main dash on C:/ that is what boots when you boot your chip.
The F:/Skins is because possibly there is a dash or something else that is using skins on that folder, but most likely only as an app.
Your bios is most likely pulling evox from your C drive.
I would bet you want to put your evox skins on C:/Skins
If they aren't working, make sure when you unzipped them from whatever source you downloaded that you aren't sending over a double root directory.
Here is what I mean.
When Evox looks to the skins folder it will only go one folder deep. For instance, lets say you have a skin named halo. The skin should only consist of one folder and three files. The folder would most likely be named halo, in it would be the ini file, and two image files. These image files are for the main image and the loading image. The ini file is what tells the skin to display what data and in what areas.
Now, if you downloaded this skin and it was compressed either in a .rar or .zip folder and you decompressed it, you may have told your decompression software (such as winrar) to put halo.zip into it's own folder.
If you did this and the author of the skin also added a halo folder within the zip/rar file you would actually have this hierarchy:
C:/Skins/halo/halo when in fact you should have C:/Skin/halo
The evox.ini file only will look into the first root folder, not the second. And, if this is the case the evox.ini file just doesn't even see the skin..it only sees another folder named halo and it doesn't know what to do.
I have done that numerous times, and would be that is what is happening.
If not, have you tried other skins. Possibly you have a bum skin too.
Just hop on your FTP program and look into the C:/Skins/whatever name of your skin folder is. See if you have an extra folder in the skin folder that's in question.
Always be careful when decompressing files that you only create a folder if need be.
