Hi, this is knave, i've been doing some xbox modding and i like the whole homebrew stuff going on, but i do hate the stuff i've been seen lately, i must leave so i'll be brief.
On Mexico's EBAY *el mercado libre*, ppl are selling softmod kits *chip virtual*, for at least 40 us dollars, topped with tons of roms for the emulators and they are giving softmod installers made by many of the respected creators, i think there should be a stop to this, cause piracy is not the way......... it's not our way.
I talked to 1 dude over at *ciudad juares*(border to el paso tx) and this guy was offering to softmod my xbox add 1 retail game, and tons of emulators with roms for 600 pesos (around 55 usd), and i was like "YOUR MAD, I GOT CHIPPED XBOX, AND WHAT YOUR DOING IS A RIP OFF", so i'm here letting you know, and......... i don't know. gtg cya.

I went to Nuevo Ladero, Monterrey the captial of pirating anything you want. And Ive seen a few of this people but they charge for doing the softmod. Like anyother person would of charge you money when then chip your xbox.

i might report to ebay, but i think i might know another thing to do.
since softmodding and other hacks are created by ppl who speak languages like english, french, german, etc... just to name a few, i 'm gonna start a web page with all info translated to spanish, this way more community from latino america, spain, and other countries that speak spanish, could access this info and know that they are getting ripped off with pirates.
like i said ppl at mexico offer this like if they are the hackers, i don't know the ethnicity of the ppl that make this AKA *ppl like DJB, Krayzie, etc..*, but when it comes to ppl that don't know english, is the problem, they don't know, and they get tricked thinking they are the great this and that, and that no one is better.
paying to get chipped installed is ok i say, but they are breaking the law, cause they will also do it by giving you some emulators and*hacked bios* <<this is illegal to just sell, or give. (usually X2 is what's used from these pirates).
well, i need some help here, the only place i know that i can host info and that i'm not that good with making web pages.......
all i can do is mods for halo ce, use 3ds max and some uber skills << when it comes to thinking.
but i'll need something like forums, where can i get one for free and of course, no files will be hosted.

EDIT: kinda think of it, this could be a bad idea, since ppl at mexico sell pirated games. Teaching others to softmod and be able to play pirate games, might make the pirate sellers make more money, since they sell games like "Halo 2" for like 20 usd................ i don't know if this would be good or bad

For free hosting, you can try something like freeservers.com. I used to use them when I first started. They have a page builder program that can make the design of the page easier for you.
As for a forum and such, do a google search for that..there are lots available..or goto HotScripts.com and look around...there are lots of free scripts there for numerous applications.

A chip is not for piracy alone Powerart77. That is MAYBE WHAT YOU bought it for however, I and many others use it as a Media Center or other purposes....

i guess ppl that complait have 1 or the 2 reasons:
1.- they bought their chip to pirate games.
2.- they are ppl like the one i mentioned and don't want to loose money, due to me writting spanish softmod tutorials.
in conclusion, i'll start really soon.

Well, i think it would be a great idea to give the AID a new luangague- not to bad. Secondly- Modders have a seterotype of Tech age theifs- or people who have low selfesteem and have to cheat.
As for the Racial issue of modding- i dont know if modding discriminates- i have seen ALOT of modding in mexico, i think there just trying to make some $$$- As for racial stuff
