Hi I recently bought 2 Sunday chips. I have tested both and I think one of the flash roms on the Sunday chip is faulty (not the whole board). I read on the support forum that I can send the flash rom back to you guys, and it can be reflashed/replaced? Where do I send it to?
This is what I did to test the faulty one:
1. Once installed, the xbox fragged with both banks of flash.
Wiggling the pin header sometimes would result in a blank screen and
the green led on. If you pushed eject, the xbox would frag.
2. I swapped flash roms with the good Sunday chip (to make sure it wasn't the whole board that was faulty), and it loaded the FlashBIOS 3.0.1 just fine. I then hot-swapped the flash rom and attempted to flash the bios off the hard drive, but the flash failed due to "unrecognized flash".
3. I then booted off the good flash rom in to evox dash and installed
the SundayFlashv1.2 and hip301 and hip303 programs. Every method gave me some kind of error (flash not writable) when trying to program the bios. The same error occured with every bios I tried.
I'm convinced that the flash rom is the culprit. If I send it in, how long will it take to have it reflashed?
On a side note, do you guys sell the board just by itself without the flash rom? (like the saturday chip) If so, how much?

You can indeed send in the flashrom for a reflash. I can understand the part where one flashrom seemed badand the other seemed okay until you get to the part where you've booted the working rom and it's not flashing, that I've never seen before. For the flashrom prone to blank screen on a 1.0 try it in a 1.6 the few we've seen like this are very reliable for 1.6. Were testing the flashroms now on both 1.6 and 1.0's before shipping now but try it on a 1.6 before sending it back.
Thanks for the info Sunday, unfortunately I don't have any v1.6 to test/use on. I'll have to have it reflashed. It will be installed on a v1.0.

Try tying a-20 high and the D0 pad on your 1.0 aswell. Let me know if the last 2 digits of your flashrom's datecode is 89.
