Hi members,
Well im hard at work again coding long and hard to get the new xbox-hq website finished.. Its going to be totally different guys... I am sick of looking like a phpnuke website especially when we have so many extra options you wouldnt think so... lol
So, What im asking is this.. Can everyone spend 10 minutes of their free time looking and suggestion which theme you think would suit XBOX-HQ in the future..
Heres a list of Mine and DJB's favoirite themes so far:
There are many more to search through so do your best and tell us what you think your favorite XBOX website should look like..
Heres a list of some of the new features ive coded:
- crosslinking of news, reviews, cheats, screenshots from each section.
- each section will show relevant reviews, news, cheats etc when choosing a game
- you will be able to search everything via gamename just like ign.com and some of the best websites just like teamxbox.com
- crosslinking of hardware reviews, manuafactures, modchips, downloads, screenshots etc etc..
- The site will have so much more functionally you will not believe it is the same place.
The forums of course will stay very similar with only a theme update.. (all graphics will change to match our chosen theme)..
New Sections on the upgrade HQ:
- Screenshots
- Xbox Games (crosslinked to xbox live tags, reviews, cheats, screenshots etc etc)
- Xbox Developers (crosslinked to each game etc)
- Xbox Publishers (crosslinked etc etc)
- Xbox Hardware (modchips, xbox controllers etc etc crosslinked to downloads section , screenshots etc etc)
- i could go on but ive been coding for the last 48 hrs alreayd..
Please VOTE on this topic too..
Why am i doing this??
Well the main reason is to get a final layout for HQ.. But apart from that i have been working on the new xbox360 HQ website which will hopefully be available after i complette the current HQ updates..
Also, the code i am writing will be used for our new 360 website and since im using a crosslinking method it will be so much easier to use and find what you need for modchips, bios, hardware, games etc etc.. anything really..

Hm, after having a closer look at all of them I honestly prefer #5, that would look kick-ass.

Its all good.. I only like #1 because it has alot of room for our content.
#5's header is quite large and a waste of space.. But i like the graphics an d colors used..
We have so much here on the HQ website and we need a nice layout to finalise the website. The theme i made over 2 years ago it very ugly i feel (030503_xboxhq). Dont you all agree. hehhehe

I wouldn't really use the word "ugly", I'd rather used the word outdated and way too crammed.
We need a layout where we can manage our content nice and neatly, especially the always growing navigation system. The top bar idea we have now is good because it can categorise a lot of things, maybe something like this can exsist in the new layout...
