Hi guys,
Im looking for eveyones input on the new game FLATOUT!
If someone would like to write a small review that would be nice too.

This game has been getting alot of hype for a racing game not belongin to the Gran Turismo, or Project Gotham Raceing series. What i thought was another 3rd party game, turned out to be 1st party worthy.
Design/interface/handle:
The look and feel of the game is very much simple. The concept of racing cars with alot of Detail dumped into a multi-threading Physics Engine to display and give the feel of true Choas during the crash's of the game is hit dead on the nose. The controls are very well constructued but the steering gives me the impression that im driving on a layer of Crisco
Graphics:
The Graphics are decent for the last generation of Xbox games. They are reminist of Burn Out quality. Nothing much more to really say there.
Game Play:
THis is the kicker. I've never been a big fan of racing games- even tough i tried my share of them, this has to be one of them on the top of the list. It's incredibly addictive. It drops the philosphy of "Hey lets drive fancy sports car's in circles" To- "Hey lets race these kick ass cars through strange race tracks and blow stuff up while were at it." . I think one of the funnest part of the game is when you actully do crash- rather than putting the focus on the car's destruction the camera follows the beat up rag doll- that is you- in which ever direction you go flying that is a computer assigned code of pure physics. Having programed physic engines let me say- this one is phnomonal. I cannot stress enough how impressive the physics handle, i think its a very real simulate of actual world physics. But the handleing of the car itself isnt to special, like i said- it feels like driveing on a layer of crisco.
Not only dose it give you the normal single player feautres (race a car, win moneey, upgrade.) but gives you a few (But very fun) Mini-games. From shooting you car up a ramp to act as a dart to a huge dart board, or slamming you car into a wall to see how far your projectile rag doll can go- its going to keep you going back at it, over and over aigian.
The online multiplayer- to me, wasent much of an expirence. Anyone who has played burnout online should know what it plays like.
Sound: Crappy soundtracks, but overall awesome sound from the death and destruction of twisting metal. SUpports Dobly Digital 5.1- recreates the surround sound quite nicely.
I would say this game is a game you must either BUY OR RENT.

oh, speaking of crap- we were told to pull San Andreas last night- it sucks, i was able to sell one RIGHT before we were told to take them off the shelfs- thank gob i got mine already.

just because of one little scene they automatically change the rating and force a lot of the stores to get rid of it. thats bullcrap. you can already kill hundreds of people, police, fbi, hookers, and they dont seem to give a crap about that. i totally agree with you that this is crap. _________________ XBOX

I think the best part of the game is the Long Jump and the High Jump, where you have to actually LAUNCH your driver as far as you can in order to get money so that you can upgrade your car. For those of you who live in central Florida, it's like living one of those horrible crashes on I4 or the Turnpike that are always on the news. The good part of course is that no one is getting hurt. _________________

oh- yeah, sorry- but the thing is i DID do a spell check- i dont have Microsoft word installed on my Labtop (I have the CD's- its just its so RAM consumeing) But i'll install it as SOON as i get me baby back- since i have no word check on the ole' mac- i have to use spellcheck.com

I always double check stuff anyway..
lol spellcheck is not a substitute for proofreading, least thats what my professor ingrained into us downloading the game now. i actually hadn't seen any previews till today although i heard a few people mention the game. looks fun

Yeah, I got tired of it after awhile. I started doing the bonuses in my Ford Probe, but now I'm running out of relatives. Any volunteers. _________________
