Hey Yall, Im working on a v.1.1 box, and a Aladdin advance v1.0 1.6 chip (thats what it says on the back anyway)How many damn versions is there? this is my first cheap mod and i wanted 2 take it slow so ive solderd just the d0 from the d0 on the chip 2 d0 on the mobo, and removed pin 4 for the pinheader & instaled it. i have been soldering 4 10+ years & know my work is inpecable, ive fallowed all the info i could get from tuts & links! & have been reading all threads withany thing 2 do with aladdin , advance,xt,live & threads 2 do with other xbox versions (1.6) But all i get is......................shit nothin? no flashing lights, its like the chip is not there. box boots fine, but nothing no matter how long i hold the button down! from every thing ive read you dont have 2 solder the bt,l1 & ground to get the chip 2 work? forahobby whats up? kick down the info, my inteligent friend. Well im sorry as all hell if my problem is so simple its sad, but why not humor my dumbass & make shure i dont screw my buddys box up! thanks 4 the help....................................peace

should have went with duox2 cromwell edition ,
which version of aladdin u got ? post pictures if u can ,
connect the bt wire to the mobo , u dont need l1 and l2,,
which 4 pins did u pull from the pinheader? picture?

most tutorials either dont say anything about pin header or tell you to remove one pin ,
this might be ok for some versions of the chip
here is the picture that shows that you need to remove 4 pins from the pinheader , this might work for you if everything else fails ,

I will now tell all to do this . I wonder why something this big is not on hackdasbox's site? if it is , shit sorry hackdabox. Boy im makin a BIG FUCKIN TUT On the Aladdin chip instal bull shit , with mad pics!!! I have been taking pics all along. I think im going with the duox2 the next time i decide to be a cheapass! The reason i got a 10 pack of the aladdin in the first place was because of the lcd opption. Which i havent used.shit........................peace

YOU can bet your ass i will, im so damn bussy, just lovin these x3's though. i wll have the tut done soon it will have directions To & from for every component,Wire or trace or one close to it! all my pics are 3.1 mega pix so i gota downsize them bastards, but wthe damn text will definitly explain all of the pics!!!!!.............but the way hackdabox, your site dose show the pins removed,My bad. but it needs to say it,Your site is one that got me a good damn part of the way!! through these damn Aladdins!............... so forahoby have you seen a tut that says remove those godamn pins? maby im blind,....must be, i didnt notice that the damn pins in hackdabox pic was removed?.......................peace
