Post subject: Removing softmod?

I softmodded my friends xbox a few weeks ago, and he's decided that he doesn't want it anymore.

I know it's possible to completely remove the softmod, but I don't know how. I've never have to do it before.

I read the thread in the middle of the page but I couldn't get much sense out of it.

Can someone please give me a step-by-step on how to completely remove it? Thanks.

(I used SID3 and the Splinter Cell Exploit, then used AID2 to install Nkpatcher + MS Dash. I also installed DVD2XBOX, XBMC, and Avalaunch.)

Maybe a format, or just restore the old MS Dashboard and well, leave it at that...

did you make a ms backup before you installed the softmod? cause if you did then you can just select "restore ms backup" which will remove the softmod and put the old ms dashboard back on, then you can delete all the softmod programs by using MS dashboard's saves manager.

No, I didn't make a MS backup before I installed the softmod. Sad

Minger: He wants it completely removed, so that his xbox is back to retail.

I'm not too good with any of this stuff....

A step-by-step would really help.
