there are so many programs out there that can do this for you..
Something as simple as ULEAD DVD STUDIO or ULEAD DVD WORKSHOP will accept all types of .avi .mpg etc etc and will convert the to a nice DVD of your style and size..
You even even have menus..
If you have a dvd-r burner then normally when you purchase your computer or dvd burner you will receive free software that alreadt does this too.. Thats why i remember ULEAD DVD WORKSHOP from.
I have messed with various converter programs and they can take a life time to convert to DVD format - depending on your PC spec.
I think there is one called AVI to DVD that I supposed to be fairly rapid.
Be prepared for a loss of quality, I once did Aladdin from an .avi and the black was a bit patchy also it took like 8 hours to convert. (not using AVI to DVD...it was some other app.)
Might be better to get a DVD player that can play DIVX or .avi format.
I have seen these in the UK for About £60.
Hope the .avi files you are converting are not adult films from the internet ! _________________

CloneDVD2 is more of a DVD ripping prog than anything else, and is normally used in conjunction with Anydvd, published by the same folks.
Why not simply burn them as data DVD's,you can then fit 6x 700Mb movie files,be they divx, xvid. or straighforward avi/mpg onto 1 DVD,& xbmc will recognise & play 'em on the xbox 99.99% of the time, without losing any of the original quality.
Check out the NG's for burning software to try before you buy.
You can always use Qwix or Cxboxtool to make an ISO of them 1st if you feel it's necessary, but I've never had to,though I s'pose it'd then enable you to use DVDDecryper to burn 'em. _________________ xbox1.1 with Executer2....I think
