I got a new xbox a few days ago and wanna see about softmodding it
I have seen a few ways of softmodding the game but I don't have the games mentioned to be even able to do that mod suggestion
is there another way of modding with a few other xbox live games as I do have a few new games here or is there a way of doing it without a save game file and compatible game

Only 3 games can be used to install a softmod or hack..
I believe they are:
- 007 Agent Under Fire
- Mechassault
- Splinter Cell Install
I might try hiring those games from the video store
can I use ftp to upload save games to an unmodded box??

You can't ftp savegames into an unmodded xbox, you either need to know someone with a chipped xbox to transfer the save exploit to memory card for you or get a Mega-X-Key(or anything else suitable) which will allow you to transfer the exploit to the Mega-X-Key from your p.c, you then plug in the supplied xbox adapter into your non modded xbox insert the Mega-X-Key into the adapter and transfer the save game from the Key to the Xbox HDD. There's plenty more tutorials on this site to tell you what to do from there, depending on which exploit you use. I use the Agent Under Fire exploit, I bought the game on ebay for £7 + pp, its allways handy to have the original game to hand, you can softmod your mates then for a little price.
