ok heres what i done i just softmodded my xbox a week ago and i had trouble with it so i fixed it and i rented dead or alive xtreame beach volleyball to copy it well i thought it would be easier to FTP it to my xbox so i deleted san andreas off my hard drive using the computer and put dead or alive on so once i restarted my xbox all i got was a xbox screen and it says microsoft down at the bottom and thats as far as it gets i have tried everything i can think of to try to fix it go to no luck so if you could please help me by posting that would be great but if one of you live in california and have the auto installer deluxe handy please burn a copy on to a DVD-R and send it to me and i will give you 5 dollars thank you for your time and please help me sincerely David Sierra _________________ xbox v1.0

Can you boot a original GAME?
If you can boot a ORIGINAL then reinstall the softmod and use the Softmod Auto Installer to reinstall your M$ Dashboard with the softmod..

ok i can boot any game i like copied or original but i cannot access the harddrive and i was dumb enough to delet the linux installer but not the save game to access the installer so im downloading AID right now but i have a few questions bout that ok after its done downloading what do i do with it? make it a ISO file or what i need to know and is using NERO 6 a good idea for burning backup games? because they do play but it takes like 7 mins to load and i dont like that if you could please post some dvd drives that are replacable for the xbox so i can get one that reads like a cd-r thanx and please post some my dads getting mad cause i f*ck up my xbox 1 everydamn day!! hi dprules,
I really think its time for you to do some reading.. Its sounds like you have no idea what you are doing and are taking stabs in the dark which i dont suggest..
What i would do is this:
1. Goto the AIDeluxe official site.
2. Read the manual for AID2
http://www.aideluxe.com
3. Print it out if you have to and then follow the instructions.. It explains how to burn the AID2 to dvd-r/cdrw too..
Anyway, basically you download some rar files and then unrar them using winrar.. then you burn the .iso to a dvd-r just like any other xbox app or backup.

thanx for the info but the only reason i deleted the linux installer was because it kept booting from that and i wanted it to boot normally so oncie i deleted that it booted right then soon after i f#&@ it up:( _________________ xbox v1.0

hey dprules,
with SID (softmod installer deluxe) there is a option to install the mod.. then you can backup the mod and restore your M$ Dashboard as it was by clicking a few buttons..
As long as you can boot a original or backup you will be fine.. You can always fix your box..
boot up the xbox with the disk tray open and reinstall the dash or restore the origanal ms dash.

and does anybody know how to change the boot up movie because thats getting old and i got the good action replay updated of coarse and if you do not have a action replay memory card usb device then just make 1 at this website www.how2xbox.com i made a official microsoft mem card a action replay it works to but i recommend that you keep the wire. _________________ xbox v1.0

OK Firstly when you get Auto-Installer Deluxe 2.0 off the net it's in RAR format, so extract this with WinRAR, 7-Zip, or any program like that. I'd recommend burning the ISO file (that is already made and ready to go) to a DVD-R, and Nero would be fine to burn the ISO.
SID can not be made as an ISO, you need to copy it to a Xbox Memory card (using Action Replay or Gameshark software) or a Mega X-Key (which is a USB Stick formatted to work with Xbox/PC).
Changing the Xbox movie at startup? Man, that's way too techincal for me. I know certain BIOSes can do this, but you need this flashed to a chip in order to do it, softmodded boxes won't do it.
Hope this helps you out anyways...

Like I said to you in a PM, you extract the .RAR file when you have downloaded them all. It won't work unless it has all the files.

I already told you this. It can only be done with certain BIOSes that are flashed to a modchip or TSOP. A normal softmod can't do it.
