My Chip is X2.3b i have the programmer to. It was working the i started getting and error 13 and now 16. It will not boot to M$ Dash either

Cool, glad to hear you could get around it...

It's making me think the next release I do of it (v1.01 which might be out in a week or so, depending how much spare time I get) as a RAR or ZIP archive.

RyBack, maybe you can answer this following question for me Smile

What compression formats are universal with PC, MAC, and Linux? I'm thinking ZIP might be it, but I'd love to use RAR if possible.

Please get back to me on this one...

I can use a rar or a zip , but i have StuffIt Standard 7.0.3 or some might call it StuffIt Expander, or StuffIt Deluxe. I would thinks most Mac people that want to do this already have the full verions. It's a good app to have they make it for window also. (i think) -zip file works fine

.exe file will not work on any mac unless you
are running Connectix Virtual PC !

I signed out a laptop from school (IU), but it's hard to install stuff to it, not being mind and all.

It's a free program that come on the Mac Os 9&10 ,but If you don't have the full verison it will not work on .rar it will try to expand the file and come up with a error.

a .sit file works and a .dmg. .dmg is the standard on the Mac when you archive on the mac it puts it in a .dmg file it use a utility called Disk copy like if you click on a file then go to file under the finder, you will, create archive.

There might are other app's that are freeware that will open .Rar files maybe at versiontracker.com.

for ISO i use Roxie Roxio Toast 6 Titanium. You just burn image file.
To make and extract xiso i use xdisc.

If you have anyother Mac questions just email or pm me.

i tryed to rebuild the HD on the xbox. it took like a second. The c,e,f,g drive have 0's by them. what does this mean?

I have two xbox's one worked fine with the auto installer. but i still can't ftp to it.

If i assign an ip address to the evox.ini file can i make a newboot disc then direct connect with cross over cable and ftp? i don't have a multi port router hub.

should i buy a new HD and for get about the retail HD.

hi ryback,

if you have the auto installer and it boots fine i would suggest just installing a brand new hard drive.. Go buy one at your local markets or computer store..

Then use the XBOX-HQ Installer to format and partition your new drive..

Its funny you mention that your drive shows C: 0MB E: 0 F: 0 etc because i just bought a new HDD for my xbox and have my old one to one of my best mates.. The only problem is that it no longer works in either MY XBOX or HIS XBOX.. weird.. And i didnt even get to use the auto installer..

If anyone has this problem please let me know.. Im still looking into it!

I think with the after market drive you should be able to use it on you PC.
do a disc recovery or rebuild with norton or some other PC program.

Maybe erase it at least you still have a working drive.

With mine i have to keep rebooting to get it to work with boot disc.
