My xbox is softmodded without a chip, it has evox installed.
now how do i switch between being bale to use XBL to having evox on. can i just load up the SID and click restore 'MS backup' when i want to go on live and restore 'Mod Backup' When i want to to go back. will that work? or do i need to delete all the apps and stuff from the E: drive?

also if my simple switching idea is correct, i'll need to also need to somehow make another MS backup because i accidently formatted my xbox yesterday and lost all my backups. so how would i make another MS backup.

Cheers, hope someone can help me Smile

Yes, using the Restore MS to put the original dash back for live, then booting SID and restoring your Mod backup will mod your xbox again.

You don't have to delete E.

To make the MS backup, you need to have a CLEAN MS Dash. Since you forgot to to do the only way I can think of doing this now is to manually create it.

1) Go t E Drive on your Xbox and make a folder called Backup
2) Make a folder called MS inside the Backup folder
3) Extract AID 2, and grab the ms-c.zip file from Files\Dash\.
4) Extract the ms-c.zip file, then copy to E:\Backup\MS on your Xbox.

Hope that helps...

I would like to do so as well... thanks for the tips! Smile I really don't under SID, but this "MS backup" and :Mod backup: is just a click of a button, correct?

Yup.

You click the button in SID, a small confirmation box appears to quickly tell you what you're about to do, you press ok, it makes the backup.

The restore and delete options have the same structure...

So then, when you restore "MS backup" it'll give you the normal dash, so how would I put the mod back on again? :S

You would have to boot splinter cell, 007 etc to access the softmod gamesave on your hdd, then re-install.
