I am NOT really experianced with the actual installation of the chip. I was trying to upgrade to the newer Evox dash and bios to have it default but it was a bad image. Now with my chip enabled my XBOX fraggs...
Is there anyway to get my ships old bios back so I can boot up with my chip enabled... I cannot get a hold of the person who did the mod, go figure, so I am at a loss!!!
I have no idea what chip he installed ... Bastard Won't return my calls. I went to his house I am thinking about kicking some ass... fuk

Yes sir you are at the right place with the right people ready to give the right answers.
It is too bad we don't know the chip but eventually, I'd still suggest the auto installer from here that will help you to recover your Xbox and has the Bios you might wish to use as well.

You should never flash a chip
if you don't know what it is or you
don't know what's a safe bios for
the chip.
you will be lucky if your chip
has a recovery feature. you should
be able to get a tool to open the
box from any good tool shop.
find out what chip you have.
and post here again.
also, do you use this xbox for
xbox live?
Software modding xbox's these
days is more popular than ever
and as long as you
follow the instructions on how
to do it then you can be up and
running again in no time.

How do you enable or disable your chip?
That may give us some info.
You could also just easily open it up an dlook at the chip.
some chips can be recovered by flipping a switch on the chip, others may need programmers, others may not have any way at all.
Moral of the story...know exactly what you are getting from your modder before giving money.
It's like buying a car not knowing if it has a 1.3l 4 banger or a 3.8 supercharged.... you need to know what's inside it.
Trust me though, you are not the only one this has ever happened to. A lot of people think they are buying a modded xbox with a mod chip and they end up with a softmod or a tsop flash.
My personal taste is for the mod chip, but everyone is different.

It isn't softmoded the switch on the front gives me options to dis/en the chip or choose from banks 1 or 2, and the middle has a flash protect that I disabled B4 I flashed of course and then it never rebooted, the CHIP even has a en/dis LED function.(maybe that can tell you teh type and if i can recover or not) i can figure out how to open the box by finding a tool of rit.
If I do, For the $$$ what is the BEST chip and I can prob figure out how to replace the old one he installed. But if you recommend a chip and price send me a GOOD link please and maybe a link for a dummy's guide for it too.
But... if an easy and good temporary fix,(so I can get back to my puzzle fighter) is to soft mod it, I would be open to suggestions there and how to etc....

Yeah, you most likely have the X2.6 mod chip.
You need to look into how this chip is recovered/or cleared so to speak so you can reflash.
I am sure someone here has done this with 2.6 chips. I have only ever installed one of them... and it flashed fine so I didn't have to experience that part of it. But remember, we are taking a guess at what you have. Yes it IS an Ex 2.6 and I have purchased the tool to unscrew the box, so what will I nedd and HOW do I reflash...?

YOu will need another tool to unscrew the smaller torx screws that hold the HD and DVD trays down. (three screws).
Have you tried booting to the other bank? Or did you maybe try flashing a 1mb bios and end up taking up both banks.
Your chip has two banks...why not just flip the switch and see if you can flash from flashbios?

I will handle the tools but as I had mentioned, I didn't install it I have never installed a chip my self, but I am familiar with computers and could figure it out.
I have 2 banks yes i have tried booting from both but neither of them work. I don't know what i need to flash or how to hook it up, I just want to know what to do I have tried everything with out opening it.
So what shall I do to get it back up and running(even if it means opening it up) and what will I need a programmer??? Don't even know what that is, but I understand it's purpose, so is that what I need to do, if so where do I go, any links to sites?? etc...
