ok my case is pretty sad... I got my xbox modded but I dont know exactly what I paid for, I know they opened the xbox and they said flashed the bios but installed no mod chips... so my xbox worked fine, it was the same menu as the original xbox but in blue and had access tu regular dashborad, emulators, blah etc... the guy told me never to change the language in the main menu, so after 2-3 years of having it modded and playing bakup games happily i retardedly decided to change the language today... so now my xbox wont load neither originals nor bakups... sooo what can I do? is there a boot CD i could burn or somethin?

Looks like you have a corrupted *softmod!
(*software modifications to allow alternative dashbords to run back-up without installing a modchip inside)
That's why everyone is here...i hope!
So before telling you're in serious trouble tell us if it display some error codes after xbox failed to boot (like Error 21 or something?).We'll see it's it could be a minor fix.
If it can't load anything then you have 2 choices:
* Bring back the machine to whome has done the softmod
or
*Became a softmodding enthusiast, read a lot and ask questions here to figure out how to rescue your xbox yourself.

hmm kinda a weird case. its not necassarily a softmod, if they did as they say they did. "open it up and flash a bios". if they flashed the TSOP (flash a hacked bios directly over the original m$ bios) you should be able to boot your xbox with AID and re-install (i'd format and just start over), but thats only if they actually flashed "something" and didn't just rip you off with a $5 softmod. in either case i never heard of a mod that changing the language would ruin it.

I think ha did a 5 dollar softmod. But I haven't either heard of a language problem or of anyone doing it period. Defenitly try and load AID in this case and if it will run reinstall the softmod. Good luck, let us know what happens. _________________
