I don't know why but sometimes ( maybe 1/10X) when i load a DVD game or an Emul. Game it freeze on a pink screen. After a reboot, things come back to normal.

I used AID 2.0 on UnleashX to load apps on my chip-modded Xbox.No problem with it.

Everything works fine except that occasional pink screen.

Do i have to update something? (like the V2.01 AID up-date pack)

Thanks

The AID update wouldn't apply to your problem. Wow a pink SOD. Thats a new one. Well are you running the emulators off a disc too? What I am getting at is if it is only when you use disc's.

It happens a couple of time while i was running emulators directly from the folder (not on a disc) and a couple of time more when i start a back-up DVD game. But after a reboot, things always worked fine.

I would like to specify that happens only on my chipmodded Xbox with UnleashX and AID 2.0 on it.I've tried the same back-up game on a softmod Xbox without any problem.

Strange??? Rolling Eyes

This is the mystery...because i've lost the bill and the details of my modchip.

I've tried to use BiosChecker but all it tell me is Unknow bios.

But i have an idea about being an Apple X 3 installed about 2 years ago on a 1.1 XBox. (or X 5)

Any other way to detect what kind of chip and bios it use without opening the machine? (because if i do it gonna bust off my warranty)

Ty

You have a warranty? If you mean the Xbox warranty, that went out the door once the mod took place.
I noticed that the M-8 bios shows unknown on a lot of the dashboards. But if the thing is over a year old, it wouldn't have the M-8 anyways.
I'm not sure if the Auto Installer Deluxe has a utility that would diagnose the bios or not to be honest. Any one else know?

No i means the warranty of the modchip. The thing is they apposed a seal on the screws under the XBox.

I don't want to open it for the moment less until i'll change for a bigger HD (stock HD from now)

That's a part of the goal...Identifying the modchip and bios it use will allow me to decide to buy or not a new HD.Just because i wanna make sure before doing it that i'll not have to flash the bios ( i hate to think about it) on the chip to support a larger HD.

In AID ,i've found BiosChecker, but it was not helpfull since that didn't recognize anything.

Chiboukis,
I don't suppose that you might try emailing the vendor to see if perhaps they can shed some light on the system do ya?

I've talk to the vendor on phone and he told me there's a possibility there's an Apple X 3.(because of the orange X as a boot logo)

He suggest me to check (in the darkness) if there's any red light coming from inside the left panel of the Xbox.

If not...maybe it's an Apple X 5?

Are they use the same bios anyway?

That's what i'm gonna try tonight.

I'll keep you in touch!

Ty

No...and i would like to know why it happens a couple of time before!

I suggest it have something to do with running emulators of Nin64?

Like I said, I've never heard of this but I suppose that it could be a corruption of the video driver while using the emulator.
