When I got the SID installed I did it correctly (least I think I did) and when I restarted this window came up that said "Technical Support needed" and it had a bunch of japanese characters, and I don't htink there is anything I can do to fix it . anyone know what to do?

is there an error # anywhere on the screen? if so what is it.
usually the worst possible situation requires you to buy a modchipto fix the problem.

in the top left it has a #13, but sometimes it changes, but it hasn't in a while
and 13 is "Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed" right?

HAVE YOU TRIED BOOTING YOUR X BOX WITH THE DVD DRIVE TRAY OPEN AS IT COULD TAKE YOU BACK TO THE SOFTMOD MENU,IF YOU CAN GET BACK TO THAT MENU YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RESTORE YOUR ORIGINAL" UNMODDED SYSTEM" IF YOU MADE A BACK-UP THAT IS
ALSO TRY PUTTING THE DISC THAT YOU SOFTMODDED THE BOX WITH AND BOOTING THE BOX AS IT MAY BOOT FROM THE DVD BEFORE IT LOOKS FOR THE DASH,THIS WILL LET YOU REDO THE MOD
OTHER THAN THAT A MODCHIP IS PROBRABLY YOUR BEST BET!!

hey yea thanks for the tip! I tried it and it still came up with that screen but I talked to RIP1982 on AIM and he helped me pick out a MOD chip... now all I need to do is be able to install the MOD Chip (which doesn't seem that hard) and try to install all the dashboards and stuff :-\
