Hi!
One of my friends did a mistake, and he formatted the C drive of his softmodded Xbox (UnleashX). After that, "Error 13 appeared to him". He brought his Xbox to me so I could try to fix it, and when I plugged it, "Error 16" appeared. Here is a list of what I have to fix the problem:
- 2 softmodded Xbox (UnleashX, one working, one not)
- Evox Boot CD
- No modchips, only softmods
I don't know what's the IP adress of the broken Xbox. But I can FTP into mine (the working one). Now, the broken Xbox won't even read a game, when I put Evox Boot Cd in it, it doesn't boot, even if I put a game!
How can I repair the broken Xbox?
Thanks a lot!
Mike

Will cold boot a game? If so use AID to reinstall the dash.
Be sure to get the update patch too. And the user manual that comes with it will guide you thru the rest. Also if you get error codes check out this reference.
I tired AID, but I didn't have the update because it doesn't download (don't know why). But still that the error message (16) comes up before that the CD boots (AID). What else can I try?

Try using the game you softmodded it with. Of course make sure you restart it after the disc is in or it will just give you that error again. Let me know if that works or not. _________________

I hate to tell him if the softmod stuff is on his box and he can't get rid of it his warrenty is up the creek anyways. So did he backup his HD key and EEPROM? If so take his HD out and fix it useing HHDM. If not I believe he maybe out of luck. Maybe one of the other guys (or girls) would know how to get past that but not me. _________________

I'm the one who softmodded his Xbox. I used the Splinter Cell game Exploit with Softmod Installer Deluxe. I made a MS Backup and a Mod backup (when the installation finished). So, how can I repair it with the backup (I don't know the IP of his Xbox).

If you didn't back up his EEPROM and HD key then there isn't alot you can do. I believe it maybe a lost cause. Becuase with out those 2 things you can't reconstruct the HD using hddm. So try and se if the game will load other then that.... _________________
