When I install XBMC as a dashboard on the E drive using AID2, the Project Mayhem III skin fails to show anything when I go into "My Music".
However, using AID2 to install it as an application to the F drive, it works fine.
Does this mean that it's due to some leftover files on my E drive? Up until recently I'd overwrite old dashes instead of deleting the old ones out. Now my E drive is a bit messy. :S
Now I have MSDash on C, XBMC on E, and the rest of the dashes as Apps on E. But I still have this skin problem.
I had something similar before I updated XBMC, except with "My Videos".
Has anyone come across this before? Any help would be really appreciated.

This is the first I've herad of this problem, and I complied it straight from the CVS for AID 2.

I had some troubles with the latest CVS version (050705), too. I found out that it misses the fonts etc from the "\media" directory and the two subdirs "\media\fonts" and "\media\textures"
If you copy those files from an older version then you will be able to see something at least
That did it for me but still there are some other bugs in the cvs version...

I never said there was anything wrong with AID (there clearly isn't as when installed as an APP it works fine), just mentioning it so you know I haven't screwed up installing it myself.
Thanks for the suggestion Heribert, but I've checked the directories and those files aren't missing from my XBMC.

It even works when installed as a dash on F.
Maybe I should back up the E drive, and try formatting it using AID, then reinstalling XBMC?
If I have to go that far, can anyone tell me the critical directories I need to save and restore so I don't screw up my XBOX?
Thanks.

Just so you know, the XBMC build used in AID 2 is 2005-05-12. I'm not surprised if you find bugs in earlier CVS's, beucase following the changelog, there was a LOT of fixes between the 7th and 12h.

The 2 main folders on E are your TDATA and UDATA folders, which store all your gamesaves.

Thanks for the info, I'll double-check the CVS build to make sure.
I plan on maybe releasing small apps update packs at the end of each couple of months (first should be maybe end of June), so I'll make sure it's all fine for that one.

Yeah formatting did the trick, only problem now is that WMV files won't play, when the same ones worked on previous versions.
Ah hell. Stuff never just works for me.
