Thanks for the help in advance.
Problem: I modified my xbox with a Xenium mod chip. I then flashed the bios with the xecuter 2 bios 4983. This was followed by adding Evox dashboard. After about 3 days my Xbox started giving me the service error message. I have searched all over for help but everything hinges on being able to ftp (I have Flash FXP) but when the message is on the screen you cannot ftp with the Xbox. I tried using slayers auto installer to put a dashboard on but nothing seems to work (also PDF instructions on this site do not work). I also read about locking the hard drive, mine is the original and this appears, as I have read, to already be locked.
Question: What can I do? Please do not answer sell the unit or it is wasted because there is always some way. Thanks.

hi bhwaters,
1. Does your xbox boot ok with the modchip disabled (turned off)??
2. Has your xbox disconnected (without power) for a prolonged period.
(if you xbox can boot normally to the M$ RETAIL ORIGINAL DASHBOARD when turned off try setting your xbox clock. Then Reboot..
I personally dont have a xenium but lets see what we can find for you..

Cannot turn off chip because it boots right to service error screen.
I did disconnect to move it to where i could FTP before the whole thing went kaput, the clock was incorrect at the time. Problem is that you cannot do anything from the Service Error screen. It boots to this screen no way to get it to boot to the original factory setup.
I have tried to reflash the chip with the disk I originally used to flash but no luck so far.
I also tried to install Evox then tried to install Slayers auto installer to correct dashboard problem but no luck.
In addition I have tried every possible means i know of to FTP with Flash FXP but no luck.
Hope this is enough info for you to recommend a course of action. I appreciate the help. Thanks.

If your xbox is not booting with the modchip turned off it must be a modchip issue..
If you installed the modchip yourself i would suggest reopening and checking all connections.. Maybe even re-install it just to make sure its not the chip that has moved.
Which Dashboard did you install to your ORIGINAL XBOX HARD DRIVE and was it working fine when you turned off your modchip. In otherwords, once you installed the EVOX DASHBOARD and turned off your modchip was it still working?
Its just a matter of going through from start to finsih.. We will figure it out im sure.. Another good question would be:
Is your XENUIUM a Genuine Xenium Chip? _________________ HQ Network:

Tried earlier to take chip out and reinstall that is what gave me the Service error 16 before it was service error 13 or 14.
Not sure how to turn chip off unless uninstall. This is because do not get any Xenium OS just goes to the Service Error. Even when I uninstalled before did not fix issue.
The dashboard worked fine it was the Evox dash.

Are you suggesting reinstall because the Xenium OS should pop up regardless of the Dashboard Service error # 16?
