Um..why would you want an on and off switch.

I'm confused. What are you trying to turn off and why?

Okay..sure, that's understood..but you have a Xenium Ice mod chip..

Why do you want to install an external switch when your chip has different ways to boot from the OS.

You just select "Retail Kernel" from the Launch Items menu, then, your mod chip will not boot the hacked bios, and instead boot the MS bios off of the motherboard.

Did you not setup the Retail Kernel??

If not, go back to the main Xenium Ice menu when you first turn on your Xbox.

Select "Launch Items" or Launch menu whatever it is..then "Add Item"

Now, select "TSOP"

Now a new screen appears with a keyboard and the words typed in is RETAIL KERNEL.

Just select "DONE" and press th 'A' Button on your controller.

Next, it will want you to select a color that the xenium ice led will be when the retail kernel is running. Just select your color and move on..

there, you are done. You can now boot the MS bios instead of the mod chips bios. And, bios wise, you are safe to login to Xbox Live..

You purchased a chip that does not need the external switch... external switches are things of the past. You only need those for basic chips that do not have an operating system. You have a fourth gen chip that has it's own OS and can boot different ways.

However, if you still feel the need to install an external switch, I am sure there are some tutorials available...you'll just have to do some serious searching as they would be ancient tuts...

Just look to see what color the l.e.d. is on the modchip, if you set it to be off when when the modchip is off, than you can sign on xbox live when there is no l.e.d. on. As for the external switch, if you are talking about the module it came with, that is just an extra l.e.d. you put on the outside of the xbox to see what color the xenium is lit up as easier.

Well, he got banned for one of two reasons.

He didnt select retail kernel and booted a hacked bios, or he upgraded the HD on a machine that already previously logged into XBL.

You can get banned for two different reasons.... Bios, and HD.

That is why a lot of people look for virgin machines. Once you login to Xbox Live MS grabs your HD serial number. So, if you chip your machine and update your HD then the HD serial number is now new.

Even if you cloak your chip with the Xenium OS, or an external switch you will still get banned because of the hard drive.

Remember, the chip manufactures have no way of knowing that your machine has already been on XBL.

They sell chips with XBL capabilities but does not mean your MACHINE will NOT get banned. It only means the chip can be disabled because the Chips OS boots the retail kernel instead of the bios on the chip. I think the chip manufactures should start putting some disclosures because people like yourself who dont realize they can still be banned think they are safe all because their chip is cloaked.
