Hi everyone!
Here is some background on my xbox.
-I bought it pre-modded recently
-It has a Xenium chip.
I am very new to this stuff so Im sure some of these questions are going to sound stupid, but here goes.
For now, all I want to do is mess with my saves, use patches for games like doax and and others. I cant for the life of me get my xbox to read the bios.bin file that I burned onto a TDK brand CDRW. I always get "bios not properly sized" errors. Can I ftp to my xbox without flashing a bios first? I know you can install Linux and emulaters and stuff, but for now, that stuff is over my head. I would like to just start off with working with saves and game related downloads. DO I NEED TO flash my bios to do this or can I just use a method of ftp to get into my xbox and put saves on it? If I can just ftp to it, please let me know. I guess I just need a place to start. Please help me if you can.

You need to have your BIOS flashed before you can do any of this stuff.
If it's coming back with reports that the BIOS is not properly sized, I'd double check the modchip and see what size BIOS is takes (different chips have different sizes).

yup DJB is right!
Basically the CROMWELL BIOS that your modchip is shipped with only allows you to boot LINUX..
The CROMWELL is a LEGAL BIOS (not a hacked M$ (microsoft) bios).
So 1st you need to find out how to flash your modchip and 2nd you need to learn how to setup your xbox on your pc network and ftp..

Im looking for some information for you now.. Basically you should only have to burn the correct sized bios for your modchip to a CDRW and then flash your chip.. Make a POST in the FORUMS with a topic of HELP TO FLASH MY XENIUM MODCHIP PLEASE?!?!?
Ill get back to you as soon as i can.. And also others will help if they have a xenium..
