well i have mech assulat im using and i click on linux and it doesnt run the installer what am i missing thanks well tried splinter cell and it brings me to service required call customer support is there something worng

did you load the save onto the xbox or are you trying to load it off the memory card?

i already got it on the xbox hdd and thats it and i havent update my dashboard if that matters

It doesn't matter initially if you have updated your dash or not.
I've noticed that one thing hasn't been mentioned here, what version of SID are you using?? I recommend you grab the latest released version which is version 2.0 if you haven't already.
Another question, how did you transfer it over? You are giving me no information only "it doesn't work". I need to know how you transferred it over etc.
Please reply with more information.
This is a little off-topic: One thing I learned yesterday from doing a friend's xbox was that when the new SID 3 was installed, it doesn't like to see any old dashboards on C. So I just cleared all the files off C after doing a backup (please note that I deleted not formatted), and installed the softmod on a clean c drive.

i transfer the files with action replay mem card and i have the 2.0 verson of sid.well when i start splinter cell up i click on linux and it either goes to black screens and freeze or goes to service required call customer support and just stalls.

OK, the problem could be with the Action Replay memory card, it's been heavily documented throughout the forum that there are problems with some of these cards.
Buy an official Xbox Memory Card and give it another try, or just transfer one part of the gamesave at a time for splinter cell.
