You have to open the box up and figure out what video chips it got and type of RAM. Not sure if is in the tutorials here but if you go to XBox-Snene.com and click the XB-Version tab at the top there are instructions.

It doesn't really say on the mobo itself. You have to look for tell tale signs.

on the 1.0 the most obvious would be the filled in lpc holes
1.1 is similar

1.2-1.5 are almost the same

the 1.4 and 1.5 differ in the lpc with the continuity of one pins.

also another way to tell

1.4 and 1.5 have focus video chipsets

1.0-1.3 have conexant i think, sorry writing in a hurry as i walk out the door.

1.6 have a xyclops video chip

and finally i think the 1.6b has new ram chips not samsung anymore.

if i am wrong, just correct everyone. just trying to help.
