OK I'm trying like crazy to softmod a 1.6 box. Is it even possible? Using AUF 007 game save technique. I was able to get the UDATA onto the unmodded box. 007 shows up in the unmodded dash mem manager, but no game save!!! AUF says there are no saved missions.
Am I doing something wrong or is there another technique that I need to use for 1.6?
btw... I inserted the UDATA on the virgin HD by hotswapping with a modded box.

did you use the SID 2.0? because that works on all xbox version as for other hacks, I can't say. _________________ Blue Chaos

You should have two files, 1 is the Linux installer, 2 is the game save itself. Both files look like a red and white ying yang symbol.. _________________ Xbox v1.3

Softmod Installer Deluxe 2.0 works on all xboxes.
I'd suggest using a memory card or usb device rather than hotswapping, as that's a pretty drastic measure to take to softmod a box.

Yep,
I just softmoded a 1.6b with SID 2.0. Was pretty easy actually, just follow the read me file & your in business!!. If you have problems upgrading your hd, if the 1-5 options on xboxhd cdr are diabled, use 6 to generate hd password & then option 7 to make a floppy. Take out the boot cdr, keep the floppy in & reboot. From there, you enter atapwd, unlock hd w/ master password "TEAMASSEMBLY", then disable the hd with the same master password. Then reboot with the cdr, use option 1 & then you can build your hd from scratch. The hd part took me a few days to figure out. But know I'm in business!! PM me if you have any questions. PS. The only thing I'm trying to figure out is to update my bios to get my xbox to recognize the rest of my hd? I have a 250 gb maxtor & I'm missing a 100 gb's??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Some good news is that SID 3.0 is using the NKpatcher technology, which basically acts the same as a BIOS. I've set it to recognise large hdds.
