I joined today after checking out the site all weekend. I'm waiting on my chip to arrive it's a Xecuter 2.3B Lite Solderless. I know now that I probably should not have gotten a solderless chip but It's coming. Any suggestions tips on how to install. I've read the tutorial from the site I purchased from and it seems simple. But it mentions scraping lacquer from the d0 point. Is that the only place I scrape? And will I have a problem with moving my box carrying it and chip moving. I use it to play Halo at friends houses. What's a good way to keep it secure after I'm sure it works and is installed properly? _________________ [/b]XBOX v1.? (4 or 5)[/b]:

Well connor2k (moderator) has installed tonnes of these chips mate and hasnt had a problem. As long as you have some experience with electronics/chips etc then i think youll be fine..
Only thing with the pogo pin chips is that you may need to soldier the d0 etc just to make sure its not going to move when you take your xbox to your friends house.. Thats the only problems really the chip has.. So just make sure you take your time and fit it correctly..

I really like the solderless chips myself, so don't worry. As forahobby mentioned the only problem you might have is the d0 point slipping. If you get it lined up right and tightened down good, it will be ok. Just handle the console like a harddrive, gently and carefully. Let me know if you have any other questions. _________________ "Modding the world, one xbox at a time"
