i was wondering , Since the XBOX uses USB basically, is it possible to make your own mic? Or do I Have to buy a xbox live kit? I was hoping there was tutorials on this but i have not found any.

probably possible....only thing is the ones you get for PC the xbox may not have the drivers for (youre thinkin headset not karaoke right?) not sure if linux or xbmx with xlink kai ect would have them either. ALso not quite sure how you would turn the audion from the PC mic into USB....unless you bought one thats USB but then you might as well buy the headset. Sorry cant help much but maybe someone else will know more.

You might want to take a look at the Gamester controller from Phoenix Trading Comany.

I bought mine from Best Buy for $ 20.00 and it comes with a headset/mic that plugs into the controller.

By the way, the headset/mic is compatible with my Motorola cell phone and probably others.
