i put in a xcuter v1 chip and i turn on the box the light is green and no video or nothing if i press the eject button then it all working sometimes i have to turn it off and on a fewtimes quickly any help please i dont think its normal thanks Wink

I dont think thats normal mate.. I dont exactly have that chip but i would say its time to reinstall or maybe even send back..

Ill have a think and see what i can come up with..

If you installed the chip directly to the Lpc on the mother board and didn't use wires, the chances are that you have a cold solder joint somewhere. With the Xecuter1 because of the thick Pcb that is used, a lot of heat is required to melt the solder through to the Lpc solder points underneath.
Try using a soldering iron with a fine tip but at least 30W and stick the tip right in the holes on the modchip and hold there for a couple of seconds. This way you insure a good solder joint.

I used wires i didnt do it to the board but it must be a bad connection cause when i press eject and finally get it to boot the clock pops up like it was unplugged thinking of getting the matrix modchip did anyone have anyproblems with the matrix chip Wink

I would advise you to stay away from the Matrix. Heaps of people have problems with Pogo pins. You are better of getting a cheapmod thats flesh upgadable and save yourself a lot of headaches.
