All,
Here is my issue.
After reading a lot on this softmod, I was able to do the 007 exploit UDE2. I have a brand new XB Ver 1.6
It all worked fine but maybe I forgot something about the LIVE stuff.
Do we have to enable it before the softmod?
Anyway, I installed EVOX from the exploit "ltools_007_v1.7.5.zip" and then added Avalaunch in the E:\appl folder.
Everything was working fine.
Then the kids played a LIVE game called Amped2 combo with TOP SPIN.
And I think it tried to update my dashboard... even without having the XB on the LAN.
So now I get the Call support service screen with a code 16 in the top left corner.
What can be done to put my XB in a working state?
I think I will have to go to a modchip but not even sure I can still used this XB anymore without calling MS.
I would like to understand what was wroung but more then that, what can be done now to recover from that
Please help me, or give me some directions.

alright its hard to say since you said it worked fine, but you used a 007 exploit version of 1.7.5. on a version 1.6 XBOX. You need to use the exploit version 1.8. Other than that idk

That's why I did it.
In fact, looking in the #xbins I was not able to find any better version.

1.8 hasn't ever been released for either 007:AUF or Splinter Cell yet. Your best chance is to see if you can still boot an original game, if you can then just reload ltools and redo the softmod. Should be fine after that. _________________

The only screen is that one about "Call Service" with the code 16 in top left corner.
What can I do ?

I've had this problem once before, what sjohn said is correct you should still be able to softmod again.
I can't see why your xbox won't boot a game from the dvd but try turning your xbox on with the game already in the xbox.
If I understand correctly the game should launch before the xbox looks for the dash. Similar to a pc bios but fixed in the order of dvd then hdd for the xbox.
