I just did my first soft mod on my friends v1.1 box. Everything went well got evox all the apps ect on there using the splinter cell save and ltools. The only thing is it will not FTP. I've tried to FTP to my comp and my xbox. And ytes I know about setting IP, using flash FXP ect. Ive been FTPing to mine for almost a year now, but his just wont go. Wondering if the HD has to be unlocked because it doesnt have a chip, but if I unlock the HD I dont think it'll read with out a chip. Anyway I think I'm just gonna do a TSOP flash and hope that a new BIOS will work. Any ideas would be great. _________________ Xbox v1.0

I am using a crossover cable. Its the same cable that I use to FTP my modded box. WHere are you getting your carbon fiber box at? If you have em for sale I'd like to purchase one. _________________ Xbox v1.0

Did you check the ip address on your friends xbox to match yours? Is your friends xbox set to ip static or dhcp? Is the "If no network found skip setup" on or off. Remember even after you change the settings you need to restart the xbox to change the effect.
