I have the smartxx chip with the solderless hook up. It keeps coming loose. Is there anything I can do to make it stay in place? I would like to put my cover on but than I would have to take it off all the time to press on my chip

Go to you rlocal hardware store and pick up some silicone bathroom caulk, (get clear so you can verfify the pin position) Allign your pin then aplly a heallthy dab of silicone over the pin and motherboard area. go ahead, be sloppy. Once cured this stuff is totally dielectric, meaning it wont short anything. I use this on all my modded boxes for solderless and soldered alike. It prevents shorts and gives the d0 wire a little more holding power.

In the last three months I have seen more people screw up their motherboard with solderless installs than by soldering.

They keep scratching traces while trying to adjust/align the solderless adapter.
