Hey, I was wondering if anyone has used EvoX 3935 yet? I have 3921 and it seems to work great. Should I really update it know or wait for the next Big update???

Hi mate,

Well im sure youve noticed that between each dashboard release there aint much of a difference..

If your not having problems i wouldnt suggest bothering to update until all new bugs have been found and fixed..

As always every new release will have a bug of some sort im sure..

anyway my 10 cents

Hi forahobby,

The way i read it..."heinrich", the member that made the changes, made the changes to the Readme and Evox.ini to make it easier to understand.

All the changes he made were just notes.

Changes made to dash by Evox: Improved FTP, IGR (Set in 1 place instead of 3)....there were no new features just fixes.

As for updating...i am going to do it. The only reason in didnt upgrade to 3921 was beacuse of reported FTP problems, which seems to be fixed in the new 3935 version.

All you have to do is replace the XBE and INI file. Then copy the menu portion of the old INI file to the new INI (rename the old ones to something else if you dont want to delete or replace).

Very Happy

Yea same.

What I was also thinking was updating the Slayer 2.5 Install CD to the new version of EvoX plus updating some of the older tools on there.

Is there any tricks I should know about, or is it just as easy as copying the new files to the iso ??

Its as easy as copying the files over.

If you have used an old version of Slayers, then just update the files manually (FTP). Forget about using Slayers, because there are newer versions of most the software in 2.5.

Just remember to copy the menu section of your old Evox.ini to tne new one.

(Tip - There maybe some new parts to the menu of the new evox.ini, so try and compare them before pasting the old menu section over the new)

Hope that helps.. Very Happy

if it aint broke dont fix it Smile

dont jump in and upgrade your dashboard (well not always anyway) coz it may have more bugs then the previous version..

Just like DJB has mentioned i noticed the IGR (in game reset) dont work real good at all.. So ive gone back to the previous version of evox..
