If you mean copy the game and write it to another disc then the answer is you would have to add a dvd writer drive to your xbox. However you can copy games from a dvd to your hard drive, the more advanced users here can probably advise you how as I am a newbie to xbox but I think one program is called something like hddloader.

JUST CAN NOT GET THE DRIVE TO BURN DICS I AM SHAW THAT THERE MOST BE SOME KIND OF XBOX TOOL THAT WILL LET YOU DO THIS AS I HAVE SEEN IT. THE OTHER ALTERNITIVE IS TO WRIGHT A PROGRAM FOR THE XBOX BUT THIS WILL TAKE TIME.

Bought a dvd burner for the xbox you mean?
If not then you would definitely need to mod your xbox with a dvd writer as the xbox drive is a read only one so no software will write to it.
Isn`t it easier to just copy the disc of the program you want to backup using pc?
Otherwise perhaps it is possible to compile a freeware utility using the xbox sdk but that`s way out of my capability when it comes to xbox stuff.

I know of no appliations that exist that will allow you to write to a DVD using a DVD RW drive in your xbox.
I dont even know if the current hacked bios' would even allow for this to happen, but I am sure they can be changed.
If anyone knows of someone successfully writing to DVD disks using a DVD RW drive installed into a machine I would really love to hear it.
later all

Yeh me too, getting the dvdrw to read is an accomplishment, but it's won't read original disks so what you gonna burn? Copies?
There is no burning software out there as far as im aware, and it would require some sort of driver as well as the software.
Let us know if you get it working before xbox 2 comes out

Hello all,
Here is a save for all or you... If you install Damn small Linux, ther is a burning program that comes with it. I don't personally have a dvd-rw in my box, but you could give it a try?
