hello all:
I just softmodded my 1.0 box that has
K: 4034
D:5096
with ltools MS v18
it was working well, but it wasn't as useful as evox's stuff. So I decided to uninstall it. When I went to Restore -C it boots into Linux, then the screen goes black and tht light turns to orange. BUT THATS IT! NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS!
When I turn off and turn back on it's in M$ dashboard again. But when I go to reinstall UXE via the MA exploit, it only has the "uninstall" option...
PLEASE HELP ME!
I want my old interface back so I can use UXE. oddly enuff it's the oinly softmod that runs MaMeOX (the gouki tools version doesn't support it and craches when u try to load it)
All help is greatly appreciated!
P.S. yes I already submitted a ticket as well

OK... I was able to restore my C drive and all seems to be ok, I went to xbox live again and re-iupdated back to 5960 as well
So all seems to be back to normal... now my questions are:
1) how the heck do I modify the network settings of ltools so that it sees the IP via DHCP rather than static?? I looked all over the UDATA extract and none of the cfg files I found had that option. When I installed it, I had the:
PBL-Metoo
X2 Bios
Dual Boot option enabled
It would assing a stupid static IP of 192168.0.3 I can't use this since Im on a totally different subnet mask and IP setting
Can someone help me? I just want to softmod it so tha tI can run MameOX
I dont care if it's ltools or Evox... Just need SOMETHING! Please?

i dont do softmods and i dont recommend them ,
you should get a chip tho ,
the new spyder chip looks pretty damn nice , is solderless and its only

Some people just want to spend $0 I guess. What dashboard are you choosing to install? If you aren't installing the ltools dashes game save, it will automatically install MxM, I'm not familar with this dashboard, but I assume it has a settings or control panel type menu where you will be able to select static or dhcp addresses. I know evox does, and it is a pretty simple straight forward dash that is included if you choose the "Ltools_dashes.zip" game save.
I also think mxm takes .xml configuration files instaed of .cfg. Also look for ini files .
I actually just looked in the save file, and in this file you will find this information.
All you should have to do is replace FALSE with TRUE and not worry with the other options. if you want to make sure, you could go ahead and assign the ip you want, and the gateway and subnet mask, but setting dhcp to true should override those options. _________________
