Hi guys
I have recently opened a new xbox online shop, before I can advertise however I need a logo and banner. I am not good at design if your wondering why I won't do it myself, and I know that some creative genius on here will be able to make a decent banner and logo in less than an hour.
Post your logo and banner on this thread, and me, forahobby and realmccloy will vote on a winner who will recieve an xbox led mod kit to add blue eject led's and control port led's. And if they don't want to do the mod they can send me thier control ports and eject board and i will mod them for free. I normally sell them for £8 so thats £8 an hour?
The kits come with tutorial and any resistors you would need, runner up gets an eject led mod kit.
Not only that you will be supporting Xbox-HQ as I will be donating $1 for everything sold via the banner link.

Do you want it as just a plain ol' .jpg or flash animated?
Also, if you could post, e-mail, or PM me a nice quality pic of one of your favorite jobs, or maybe a personal project of yours or something, I could use it to spice up the banner.

Hey bud, if the winner is in the states I'll take care of them for you instead of you having to ship to the states. Just let me know. I can handle shipping out a set of LED controller ports for you, or LED jewel ring. Whatever you need. The LED's I have in stock are Blue, Red, Green, and UV.
I am not impressed with the brightness of the UV ones but the others are minimum of 6000mcd!! So they are bright. My greens are wicked bright!
I have a set of UV ports that I did for DJB, those look cool but the LED ring isn't as bright as I would like it to be. I still gotta send this puppy to DJB. I have been sitting on it for weeks!! I'll have to dig up his address again...lol Forahobby or DJB if you are reading this, email realmccloy@xbox-hq with DJB's address. I had it in my PM's but I lost it when the site changed over.
This way they wont have to send to you and you can still have the contest

Oh yeah, my 10 LED rings can either have the LED's facing in or facing out. I have found on the LE cases facing out looks really cool.

Hey thanks RM, if thats the case then I owe you, Yeh I had not much luck with UV, although my mother owns an led business and she got 5000mcd 3mm uv's which im gonna try
it don't cost much for me to send them to the use, have sent loads, costs me about 80pence ($1)

I only need about 64 of each for now. Do you take PayPal? If so, shoot me your info and the cost including shipping.

How much you normally pay? my mother sells em for loads but am sure she will do wholesale. She will only do them in packs of 100 tho I think.
Led's ain't too cheap over here and she would prob charge something like 15pence each (about 25C??) I sometimes order from hong kong and get em for about 15C each, but they take bloody ages to come, Im playing with superflux leds now too.
Will see if she still got the UV's

Do you really think it's necessary to bump something that's already locked to the top, forahobby?
Actually, I forgot about the competition until I saw this. Seems others have, too. I'll get working on some designs, but what's a good size for the banner? And no one answered my question if it has to be flash or just a stationary .jpg.

When you bump a topic it shows up the very top of the active topics page and scrolling window.. If you dont bump it will never be shown in the active topics..
to tell you the truth i never go into the forums, i only look at active topics..
Yeah, I was just busting your balls. I actually wouldn't have remembered the competition if it hadn't been for you bumping it, so your action had its desired effect.
Anyway, I finally got one started. It's the same size as the Xbox-Hq banner on Cutsom-Xmodz, so I imagine it'll be okay.
It's not going to be anything really special, because I'm trying to make it inbetween posting and looking for pics I need, plus playing with the parts of my Xbox scattered all about the room.
CXM (that's what I'm calling you from now on, Custom-XModz), it would be helpful if you could list a few things for me:
-What are the three main services your site offers (or that you want pushed)?
-What are the best qualities of your business (competitive prices, great selection, speedy service, free shipping, etc) that you want to state as your major hooks? Basically, what can people get from your business that they can't get anywhere else?
-Do you want to focus more on premods, more on supplies for do-it-yourself, or both equally?
These will help me make a banner that is appropriate for your business.

Heya, I guess my most desirable features would be aftersales support and speedy delivery. The main services I offer are premods, HD upgrades, modchips, repairs. take a look at my crappy avatar.
The main parts of the business are be supplies and premods, supplies being modchips, hd's and case mods etc.
Not sure if the banner will work with whatever rotation script there is, .gif is prob safest.
