Just got my xbox phantasystar online adapter, but i cant get my xbox to see the memory stick (in order to format it), the light on the stick comes on but when i go to the memory screen the xbox starts to flash like it is skipping or something if i remove the memory card the screen goes back to normal any ideas????
Im using a "Kingston DataTraveler 256 MB" which is on the list of devices that work...... Please.... Please help me!

Sorry, but I've never even tried to make a USB thumb drive work on an xbox. I've read a few tutorials, but I really don't know anything about how it works. I'll try to read a few more soon, and I'll get back to you. Hopefully someone will come along that has experience. _________________

Hhhmm, do you have access to a different usb thumb drive? Sounds like that one isnt working even though it should. I used a really cheap 64mb thumb drive. Perhaps if you try a smaller one? _________________

I blew my wad on a nice big 256 MB thumb drive becuase all of the information i could find said it would work... buyer beware.... I am going to try to get my hands on another one by the weekend...
anyone else have any ideas?

i think there is a program that can format your thumb drive for xbox use
