Actually you have to rip a DVD because of the encryption present on them. To copy movies I use DVDXCOPY. It is great and copies movies flawlessly.
For games, you have to load it in the XBOX and then transfer the files over to your pc and then burn them on to the DVD disc.
Let me know if you have more questions.

Once again I need it to be modded. But good to know about the xbox games.

Hows your xbox working?? Sounds like you keep trying al sorts of different programs on it. Let me know what works best for ya man.

Thanks again.

DVDXCOPY is legit and I only get three activations, of which, I'm sure I have used 2.
It is actually worth the price anyway.
Right now I am trying to use Flashx and I can't get it to run correctly.
Other than that I have been trying anything and everything (to the point my wife tells me to get off the computer for a while!).
Anyway. I have been putting anything I try into the ftp server so It'll be there when you want it.
I'll keep you posted on what is good.
XBMP is great, but I'm going to try XBMC to see if it is better.

I've found DVD2One a lot more useful...

No mess, no fuss, resizes a "COMPLETE" DVD (any size) to a normal 4.7gb DVD.

Awsome, thanks DJB. I've had problems with both DVDXCOPY and PrimoDVD. So I'll move onto DVD2one, and hopefully that'll work for me. Know where I can pick up a copy?? Thanks guys.

Okay guys, I got a DVD done. It works on 3 out of the four DVD players in my house the one on my computer, my roommates KHL, and on my xbox, but it doesnt work on my magnavox. It not working on mine, could that be because of it being a DVD-R?? It will it probably not read DVD+R's either???

The combination that I finaly got to work was DVDXCopy and Nero. The only thing with those programs is that they wont convert the whole DVD to a 4.7 GB DVD. Since DVD2one wont make backup copies of protected DVD's, can I decode it with DVDXCopy and then burn it with DVD2one, because DVD2one will convert the whole DVD to fit on a 4.7GB DVD...

Just some questions. Thanks guys for all the tips. Very Happy

How do you get XCopy to do variable recording? I was playing with it and couldn't find that. Also is there a way to get ride of the little warning they do at the beginning of the DVD, the one saying it is a backup copy... Thanks connor

Got three DVD's done, but even with changing some options, I can't get them to play on all four DVD players. Any ideas guys, maybe its just incompatible...

Right now I'm using a combo of DVD Decrypter, DVD2one, and Nero 6, seems to work fine. It is a little bit slower then DVDXCopy and Nero 6, but it doesnt put that warning on the beginning. Thanks for all your tips guys. Razz

I don't think there is a way to get rid of the beginning part, it's part of there anti piracy thing. But it doesn't bother me.
It's possible the maganvox doesn't support dvd-r's.

well it seem there are lots of Q about how and what and where about of dvd so lets clear things up, i am writing this so hopefully clear things up

dvd protection,
what is it?
it is simpily a lock or so what is called on dvd
how to remove it?
simply put ur dvd in dvrom and play it wit ur favourit dvdprog on ur pc utill u see the dvd menue
it is unlock
now what?
well now u can copy it but there is one problem
u have to dycrapt it(sorry for spelling)
why?
becuase simpily draging it or copy and pasting will kill the dvd Quality
so u can use dycraptor
what are the Decrypter
1.smartripper
2.dvd Decrypter
3.vstrip
if u like to get more info about the dvd contact post a new threat
where can i get some info about Decrypter?
http://www.doom9.org/sr.htm for smartripper

i heard there is dvdx?i am confused?
1.each dvd contains a file called VOB like Mpg or Avi, its a movie format for all dvds just like vcd use mpg
2.u got to get all the vobs copy
3.with each vob file there is a Info file
*dont mix the info file with the one u see the info for pirated stuff
the info file commond how and what vob dvd plays
4. coping info files are easy it is only the vob that has to be Decrypt
as soon as u have that vob file Decrypt u are ready to go

just one more thing if u are using nero, just use the trick i told u to unlock the dvd and than go one to one copy, u should be fine

and about xbox games
i heard that some dvd burners are actually able to read xbox game since that is possible becuase the new dvds are able to read the double layer dvd, but i wont confirm it becuase i just heard it, so how to copy the games for xbox on dvds
here is the solution
put the xbox game in dvd of xbox and ftp or
use xiso to build xbox iso
and use nero to burn the image into dvdr
FAQ
is abox able to read able to read dvdr ?
yes
how do i ftp games over to my pc?
read the tuterial for god sake, or post threat in newbies section
how do make xiso?
read the tuterial for the sake of god. they are there for a reason
i need more help where can i get
email me or post threat

thx all

well it seems the new genoration of dvd burners use diff firmware and use a new technology to burn dvds, since they are able to read most dvds, it might possible that there are few of them that can detect xbox games.
now i have not seen it myself, and the guy told me did not have lots of exprience in pc and computer, basically he was bow shiting as i think so
for now stick to original method of ftping and rely solely on your xbox dvdrom and even if there is such as dvd that can read the games i wont recomnd to buy it
ofcourse i have seen on web the modified sumsunge dvdroms for xbox but not worth buying
as i said i think the guy who told me was a little off and just wanted to show off in the front of me by telling me some bowshits
i hope i clear things up
