Hi guys,

I had an hour to kill today, so I decided to sit down and mod a couple of SEGA Master System 2's I had lying around the place. (one for me - the other for DOA666). It's an extremely simple mod. I would give it a 1 out of 10 for difficulty. You can check out more info & pics below.

What's an A/V Mod?
This mod enables the Sega Master System II to output composite video and dual channel mono sound via RCA sockets.

Why Perform the Mod?
The Sega Master System II is a cost reduced version of the original SMS console. The cost reduced version only has RF output. In France, SMS2 consoles have a DIN output which supports RGB via an external adapter.

Tools Needed:
- Soldering Iron
- Solder
- Phillips Header Screwdriver
- Skill (lol)

Parts Needed:
- 1 x 16V 220 uf capacitor
- 1 x 75 ohm resistor
- 3 x RCA Jacks
- Wire (I used ribbon cable)

SONY CXA1145 PINOUTS:
- PIN 1: GROUND
- PIN 9: AUDIO (Mono)
- PIN 20: VIDEO

Didn't take me long at all, probably 20 minutes. If you're a newb at modding set aside an hour or more.
