Im trying to format my USB With USB FatX Formatter v1.3.2 so I don't need to wait for my USB To Controller adapter to ship and get it ready early.

Problem:
My "SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Blade" can't get any further then the selected screen saying "Usb Device: SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB Device, Compatibility: No Device Found" And with the Quick Format USB and Format USB disabled using the proper config.xml in the same directory won't work. I deformatted\corrupted it properly using the format drive option. Nothing else can fix it. Some help would be appreciated Smile

TBH I've not used the FATX Formatter tool. The only thing I know about it is that you have to corrupt the flash drive first to get the tool to reformat it in FATX.

You've done that and it has not worked so I'm out of ideas.

I assume you tried formatting it on the Xbox itself. If you used another modded Xbox with XBMC as the main dash there is good chance it won't format to FATX. You need to use either the MS dash or UnleashX.

When I've had a problem and the flash drive has refused to be FATX formatted by the Xbox or behaves weirdly at any point I've just accepted that as an indication it is just not compatible.

Some Sandisk Cruzer Blade 4GB do work, I have three which do but there are various iterations of the Cruzer Blade.

I have a 2GB Sandisk Cruzer which the Xbox simply doesn't recognise even though it looks exactly the same as one a Xbox user I know, on a different forum, used successfully.

We worked out that the only difference was that his was manufactured in another country and most likely used alternatively sourced components in the manufacturing. That, apparently, is all it takes to make it incompatible.
