Hi,
Where can I download XBMC Installer Deluxe v1.46 for XBOX!
I can't find it anywhere and any links I do find are too old/expired.
I have 1.47 update but I need the main installer.
Hope someone can help!

If you click on installerduxe.com at the top of the page it will take you to a torrent download of it. Or alternatively you can grab xbmc installer3.2.2 in the free section here. Same idea as xbmcid but newer mod files and the last official stable xbmc release

it should be in vip already. I thought DJB had put all the AID/XBMCID in there. If not I have it and can post it when I get off work tommorow.

Yup 1.46 is in VIP, I guess since the FileFactory links from InstallerDeluxe are bunk I guess I could Mediafire it. Do you have edit access over at InstallerDeluxe to change the link once I upload it Hobbs?

Same here looking for a working copy of XBMC for the Xbox. The one I found works but skin is corrupted, all I get is a black screen with white text. Don't know if I installed wrong or bad zip.

if the archive extracted without fault AND you was able to RUN the aotobuilder/XBMC disk/app then the archive is FINE 101%!!!

what is your setup?
ie: the screen? have you got unleashx/XBMC configured properly?
perhaps the the cabe/TV sockets are showing wear?
please ELABORATE on the issue, i can ONLY speculate on what LITTLE info is before me!

[edit] temporarily disable the skin and work from there, just use a plain text/minimal dash and customise it gradually....

This works awsome and comes with a buttload of skins and plugins

Its the newest stable/official XBMC release that I pre installed a bunch of plugins and scripts on, plus every skin I could find.

First of all thanks for the response. And second it good to see that there are still people willing to help with old hardware. Here is the screen I was talking about. This is my first time messing around with an Xbox and am a complete NOOB. My plan for this xbox is as follow first I want to run XBMC and emulators like SNES, NES, N64, and MAME keep that pupply in the living room plus I got a FreeNAS with SMB for the movies.[/img]

^^ if you can be bothered, there's a chance the dvd rom can be recovered/repaired?
i'm looking over this thread multiple times and i DIDN'T see any mention of "interior console cleaning"...
if you're happy with the way things are then leave as is but if you want the dvd rom to possibly serve some purpose, give it a good clean! (with a few clean earbuds, glasses cloths and surgical spirit to hand)
youtube can help with xbox drive cleaning/repairs but so can this site, just use search terms "tweak" or "POT" (without tab quotes) and you'll get a few hits...that's if you can be arsed to do so?!

If you already downloaded that installer I linked extract the ISO with CXBOXtools. Look in the Files\XBMC folder. Youll see a file XBMC.zip unzip it and FTP it to your apps folder. Either use the UnleashX filemanager or your FTP app to delete the old XBMC before copying over the new one.
The XBMC in my intaller will load the Clearity skin by default.
The Vision SKin is nice too
Both are off my installer and there ton more skins. Both those videos have my movie thumb pack installed.
