I asked about this some time ago on another xbox site and was told to post here. However, that was a couple of months ago. I found a old flash drive that worked soon after that, so I ended up not posting.
Unfortunately that flash drive is busy dying, so I am soon going to without a compatible xbox usb.
There is only one guy I know of that can do this
I hope I have included the correct Hardware ID's. I know the person who can do this was looking for the ID's of usb's some time ago (on this other site) but it looks like it was deleted there.

Hey SPPV, thanks for the reply
mmm... as far as I remember the path in windows was:
- Properties (of the device)
- you then select the usb under "hardware"
- you then go to "details"
- then "property"
- then "Hardware Ids"
Wait, I found my mistake, I should have been looking in "Parent" not "Hardware Ids"
Ok, so they are:
4gb integral:
USB\VID_13FE&PID_1D21\07770A5E0378
2gb Transcend
USB\VID_058F&PID_6387\AJS24IUE
2gb Traxdata:
USB\VID_0204&PID_1976\1058004250BE0000

How are you formatting your 4GB USBs? That can play a huge part in XBMC refusing it. When formatting these are the settings you want. Ignore the size one of my 8GB sandisk Cruzers was close at hand.

It is formatted like that, I have seen you post something similar before. The only difference is that it isn't called "PENDRIVE" , but surely that won't make a difference?
