Alright so my Xbox is giving me error code 13, so I am trying to hotswap to put the Microsoft dash back on it and start over.. Before I get into details I will give you some info, my computer is running XP, with a 1.6 xbox (original Hard drive, no backup made yet).. The Xbox still loads games up fine and I have tried to put newer games in to update the dash but with no success (Need for Speed Most Wanted and Halo 2).. I am trying to use Xplorer360 and/or Xport 360 (both of the programs are the newest version available).. Alright well when I open up Xplorer360 it says that there is not a FatX drive hooked up, and Xport 360 doesn't find anything either.. My device manager sees that the hard drive is there though, so I do believe it is unlocked and ready to go but I cant do anything with it.. So is there any other program I can try or should I get a different version of the ones that I have, or is there anything else that I can try?? _________________ http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php

Hello mate,
Your hdd isn't unlocked mate. The only time is gets unlock is when the xbox boots. That the whole trick of doing a hotswap. Once the box gets a chance to blink red, your chance is gone. The hdd MUST be unplugged as soon as the ring turns red.
Under my sig you'll fine a link for pirrup's hotswap tutorial. It's done by using xboxhdm. Remember, the trick is in unplugging the ide ribbon at the right time.
