On the XBMC deluxe installer you get an option Install Dashboard (Softmod) or just install Dashboard . But I don't now which one i got on my Xbox. Is there a way to see this?

I think only to insert a hard disk but I am not sure. I now remember I couldn't play on Xbox live after the mod , so I would thinks it's softmodded.
But if I choose the wrong install what will happen?

Just open the xbox and look under the disk drive for a chip that looks out of place or post a pic of the mobo and we can tell you whats up.
