I am trying to softmod a 'virgin' 1.4 xbox, i have all relevent files and game to do this (sid5.10 & splinter cell pal version).
i'm not a total noob (i've hard modded a a xbox in the past)
now this sounds like an inane question, has any body not been able to copy files from the memory cord to this hdd ?, because this is the problem i'm having, granted i have a lot of game saves on the hdd, but surely this should not stop me from doing this mod

When your on the screen and the only option you can pick is to delete, try pushing to the right on the directional pad.
