Hey guys!
After a remarkable time of struggeling i finally made it to softmod my box.
I now burned the auto installer and addons to a dvd and I gotta say i'm a bit overwhelmed by all those options.
So far I decided for a Single Boot with Virtual C since the manual recommends it for noobies like me.
but what about all those dashboard options? I have no clue what's the difference and the manual isn't helping much.
Install Anod-X Dashboard
Install Avalaunch Dashboard
Install EvolutionX Dashboard
Install UnleashX Dashboard
Install XBMC Dashboard
Install XSelect + UnleashX Dashboard
Do I need to Install the microsoft dashboard as well as one of those above? That's what I got from the manual...
And if I'm not mistaken I gotta install the softmod again then?
it is further mentioned, that you can install all the
hacked dashboards as apps, and run XSelect to boot them.
how dies that work, what's the advantage? Is it easier that way to change and remove them?
this is more complex than I thought, I gotta admit...

doh!
I couldn't wait and tried to install xmbc. it required a reboot without dvd and I guess something went wrong since it says service required and the led blinks red-blue.
so what now - any recommendations for this impatient fool?

reset and let AID reload _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

Try and run whatever game you used for the Softmod, see if you get the SID menu. _________________

-I can run splinter cell.
-starting without dvd results in maintenance screen
-starting with auto insstaller DVD works as well, but I was asked to reboot the box without dvd after installing xmbc, so that's where I was stuck since I couldn't reboot it without.
what about now? start all over again? how?

Not trying to hijack this thread but I'm in the same boat as this guy (except I wasn't as impatient). I'd like someone to answer his original question. I'm wondering the same thing

You want to install your mod dash to the E drive man, and what part of the original question?

If you can still boot AID then rerun that and do the one click install.

Sorry, I was busy with a ton of other stuff.
I tried to install AID again, but it didn't help.
same issue. install successful,
next step is to remove dvd and reboot.
reboot without dvd results in maintenance screen.

No, I didn't that time.
I did now and installed again - still with the same issue.
just to make sure - the install paths are correct?when I'm doing the one click install again, I get a message that the softmod and dashboard are installed on C:\ and apps on E:\
any other suggestions?

If you can run the file manager from AID you might try to delete the trainers folder in E drive and clear the cache.
